Pump gas with Xylene= High Octane Fuel
How does it work?
Anything wrong with using it?
Some guy is using it on M3forums.

Formula #2 - Xylene

R+M/2.........117
Cost...........$2.75/gal
Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
--------------------------------
10%...........94.5 Octane
20%...........97.0 Octane
30%...........99.5 Octane
u can get at any home improvent stores like home depo.

it is true, xylene is in pump gas from the start. it is part of the additave package. more is better. not sure if i would go over 30% with out adding a little atf or marvel oil for top end lube

those prices seem low for xylene. When I was mixing xylene & toluine (sp), back in the day before 9/11, it was around $20.00 @ MAB with an account for a 5 gallon jug. Last time I checked about a year ago it was $60.00 for 5 gallons which = $12/gal which is MORE expensive then race gas!

adding oil of any kind will decrease the octain rating of the fuel. in some cases it will be lower then 91 octain depending on how much you add. there was a real good artical in turbo mag a few years ago on the subject.
