Popping/Grinding in reverse
I just got my car back from the dealer for a tranny issue that was supposed to be fixed 2 weeks ago. A couple of days ago i was backing out of a restaurant and i heard a long clunk and noticed my car was in neutral. I put it back into reverse and started backing out again and same thing happened again. I put it in reverse again and held it there and started to reverse the car would move back a few feet then it grinded as i was holding it in.
I then put it in reverse again and just let off the clutch slowly and i was able to fully back out. Any ideas?
The clunk was so loud it sounded like a ran over/hit something almost.
Any input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Hans

Usually you have to lift off the clutch slowly or a little bit before you can actually feal the gear grab into reverse. It happens to me all the time. As for grinding, I have no such problem. I do feel my gears a bit stiff when shifting, so i suppose it's time to change out the fluid and get better lube. I'm about to hit 30k regardless so it's time for a drain/fill.
But back on that Reverse Gear, once you start lifting off the clutch u should feel the gear grab.

Reverse hasnt been an issue since i got the car. Its only happened this one time, the car would start reversing a few feet then almost violently pop out. It happened when i gave it gas and started reversing, it didnt happen when just letting out the clutch with no gas.
