Installed new HKS and problem...

Obviously not installed right. Did you follow the directions closely? You need to flip some of the rubber supports around.

Ive had my HKS Hi power on my car for 6 months now and have never had that problem.

I had this exhaust on my car about a year ago and everything seem to fit right, did u possibly but on the brackets the other way around but my install on the HKS HI power ss went prettty smooth.

but it looks like urs goes way to the passenger side, well i would say take a good look at the rear hangers, becasue i dont think the DP hangers matters to much

Yours has signs of rubbing too.. look at your resonator. That's where it rubs.. Even if you have 3/4 inch of clearance normally. It still rubs around corners or hard accelleration.


Options

1. Hammer the area on the resonator and try adjusting it as far right as possible, loosen all bolts and pull it as far away as possible, retighten (your flanges wont be straight but it may help the rub).
2. Sell it to a HKS fan and get a good exhaust.
3. Aftermarket hangers may fix this.. I dont know I went with option 2.

I just got rid of the POS and got a Tanabe TBE that fit perfect and the quality was outstanding. No taper, no resonator, caution LOUD.

well i bought it used, maybe it was rubbing before, it dont rub now, well i think i would hear it...

The guy who bought mine doesnt have as much of an issue as mine does (of course the rub spot is worn down some too.. additional clearance LOL). You can bet that's why the original owner sold it.
