That's why HKS exhausts are nothing more than shiny toys. You couldn't pay me to put an HKS exhaust on my car. I did extensive research when buying my exhaust and the very first company I ruled out was HKS. Funny think is that they make good products but their exhausts just plain suck. I wonder if someone else makes their exhaust and they just slap the HKS name on it....

Before calling HKS, I would try loosening the bolts, adjusting the pipes and then tightening everything back up again. This is a common issue if you search the HKS Hi Power/Carbon Ti on here. I've had it happen to me on both my HKS Carbon Ti and on my HKS Spec R and with a little patience and possibly another person to hold the exhaust steady while you tighten it you can get it all to clear.
FYI most of the cases I've seen, this problem occurs when the exhaust is assembled on the floor and placed on the car versus putting it on piece by piece. You could do a lot worse in terms of picking an exhaust. The HKS unit is a good piece that is not too loud. Sure there are others than make more power but I'd sacrifice some power for a bit more quiet.

My roommate has the HKS Hiper, and it's doing the same thing on his car. Of the four Evos at our house, only his car is doing that. Two of us have Apex Noirs, and the third as a RSR Exmag, no problems whatsoever. It's a design flaw on HKS' part.
