Wow, don't try to make yourself look ignorant, ok!!
You can drive all the way to Mexico City in nothing but toll highways at 100mph no problem. It's expensive($100) but the roads are excellent. The highway that connects Mexico City to Cuernavaca is one of the best maintained and most fun I have ever driven, including Europe(La Pera curve is very fun). People also drive much better than in the USA. Even an old grandma in her grand marquis will get out of the left lane on the highway. People respect the rules and take driving on the highways seriously. It's very frustrating to be on the highway with no traffic and have the idiot in their pickup truck on the cellphone eating a burger in the left lane, this seems to be an American phenomenon. It's not uncommon to be going 100mph on the Cuernavaca or Monterrey highway and get passed by a Porsche or Ferrari going 140. You always have to pay attention to see whose behind you. Mexico also gets allot of the Euro spec exotics models(Ferrari,Lambo, M3 etc) that the US can't get because of being too low, loud, regulations etc. Luxury cars and rare imports, including the Evo, are much more expensive in Mexico because of taxes, so usually only wealthier people can afford them.
I'm from Torreon, but live and work in San Antonio and have an American spec evo. I have 2 friends that have Evos from Torreon and I will tell them about this thread. I went to Monterrey a few weeks ago and saw a handfull of Evos, so they're out there. I think this thread is about evos FROM MEXICO, not Americans of Mexican ancestry with evos in the USA.
Great video by the way, you should do a video of La Pera to show people what a crazy curve it is.

In the case of my little country, Honduras, there are at least five Evos. Anyway, sorry for the OT post.

Yes, I like the idea of a regional forum(s) for Latin America. Maybe Mexico and the Central American countries could be grouped together. The Caribbean island nations have a good number o Evos as well.

I am mexican, I'm from tampico (gulf cost) 300 mille south of brownsville TX, an I own an evo for almost a year until I crash it, I'm on the way to get another 9 mr, it's the only trim sold right now selling in mexico, the fist one was the 2003 evo 8 , no rs , mr or se, we have imprezas only sti no wrx or other trims until 2008 wrx and sti.
mexico is the perfect contry to own an evo, there's virtualy no speed limit, the you can fix a speed tiket with 50 dlls. and the tikets dont, cont for your license or insurance, and we have all type of roads. and TEQUILA Y MEZCAL
btw we live very well and happy in here...
