Help...car Won't Start
I own a 2004 Evo VIII with 25,000 miles. I drove my car all day yesterday running errands for about 4 hours. I went to the girlfriends house and left around 8pm. So I'm on my way home, cruising down the road doing 60mph when I start to notice I'm loosing speed and my RPM's are dropping even though I'm still on the gas pedal. I push the pedal to the floor and my boost gauge won't go past 0psi. At this point I'm thinking one of the intercooler pipes has let go...been there, done that. I pull over, shut off the engine, and check all the pipes. To my suprise, everything is connected. I give the engine I quick once over and nothing seems to be out of place. I get back in the car and try to start it up and it won't fire. It will crank just fine, but won't restart. I let it sit for about 10 minutes and try to start it again and it starts, stumbles pretty bad for about 5 seconds and dies again. So I call a flat bed and have it towed back to my house.
So I started ripping things apart this morning. Disconnected the battery for 5 min, reconnected it, still won't start. I did a boost leak test, found a small leak coming from the MBC that I never knew about, but the intake was still able to pressurize and hold boost for a period of time. Pulled the fuel line and cranked it, it's getting fuel. Pulled the spark plugs which only have 5,000 miles on them, they look good..nothing unusual. Pulled the timing cover, timing belt is still intact. Really the only thing I haven't done is check for spark but I'm the only one here right now, so I'll need to wait for a friend of mine to get off work before I can do that.
Anybody have any other ideas of what I can check? Could it be a bad crank position sensor? I'm just really confused right now because of the lack of warning. One second the car was fine, the next it's loosing speed and dies on me. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take it to the dealership for warranty work, but with the mods....
Any input is much appreciated.

try checking the maf sensor and see if its plugged in...also the sensors in the back near all of the fuel set up...and the plug thas in the front rightof the valve cover...if any ov these are unplugged it will cause the car to stumble and turn but not start...my friend just recently left one unplugged and it sounded exactly like ur talking about..so check all of your plugs and censors and see if theyre plugged in

Every sensor I can see or touch is still plugged in. I just drove the car from Ohio and back for the DSM shootout last month, no issues then. I haven't touched the engine bay aside from an oil change for about 5,000 miles. That's part of the reason I'm so confused about why this just happened all of a sudden.

Well, I just got done checking for spark. All four plugs are firing....so why the car won't start is beyond me. Looks like I'll be installing a bunch of stock parts all night and getting it towed to the dealership

Well, that's the problem...I have a 5yr warranty on the car, but I don't know if they will find the reflash and void the warranty. This will be the first time taking my car in for warranty work...we shall see, I'm out of options.

it really sounds like a hose came loose, i know you said you checked, but did you double check every single hose clamp, especially the ones connecting licp to IC...it has to be something simple
