Go to openecu.org and download ECUflash. Its a free program that will let you tune or have someone else tune your car via email. It connects to your laptop via USB and then to your car via OBD II port under the dash on the drivers side. The white connection plugs in right next to the OBD port. You'll see the connection. You can also go to activematrix.org and download Mitsulogger. Yet again its a free software and it'll allow you to log fuel trims, see if you getting any knock etc. I suggest you do that unless the previous owner told you ahead of time the car was tuned.

openecu.org to download that program. then tune it it yourself or have someone tune it for you through the mail in flashes.
