getting sap and glue off car

Clay bar doesn't take sap off... It will take the top guey layer off, but you're still left with the part on your car. You can clay that to all mighty hell and it will be smooth, but from angles you will see the sap still there.

For glue, I use AFTA.

For new sap on the car, I use AFTA as well. If that doesn't take care of it, they sell sap remover.

Clay bars are excellent for removing microscopic particles that are hard to see. Actually you feel what you are removing rather than seeing it. WD40 works also in the same way. Actually WD40 is also good for removing the chunks of brake dust that gather on the wheels.

My last comment was misleading regarding WD40. It works not like a clay bar, but like goo gone or other gunk removers.

lighter fluid... use VERY sparingly.
or like i do... claybar the living hell out of it till your arm falls off

Any automotive bug and tar remover will work. I've been using Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover for years now.

+1 on tar remover. But I think you should rinse it with water after using it because it might eat into the paint.

the 3M adhesive remover works the best for me for everything. I love this stuff. And it is very safe for the paint:
