Clicking from e-brake area

Clicking from e-brake area
Car has about 16,500 mi, and I noticed within the last few thousand I get a weird clicking sound from the e-brake area after I come to a complete stop at a light and then slowly roll out of first. It only does it after I am at a complete stop and then ease the clutch out.
I have done some searching about clicking from the brake pads shifting around but I don't think that's what is causing the noise.
It makes the same exact sound when for example you park on an incline, leave the gear in 1st, pull the e-brake up, shut the car down, and then release the brake pedal. When I release the brake slowly after the car is off and the car shifts back a little because of the incline it makes the same clicking sound.
The car's handling is not affected at all, it's just annoying everytime I roll out of first and hear clicking from the gearbox/ebrake area.
Any ideas?

I will be bringing it by the dealership tomorrow to have them look at it.
Car is 100% stock and I've never abused it so I think anything that may be damaged would be covered under the factory warranty.
Thanks for the input.

^That is exactly what I am thinking.
It doesn't seem like a tranny/TC issue but more related to the e-brake and calipers themselves.
Because I can replicate the sound exactly when I park on an incline it seems that it has more to do with the brakes than tranny.
Hopefully that is all it is and is a simple fix. Thanks
