Yes, don't ever send checks. The routing and account numbers can be used like a credit card.

I recognized one of the EvoM members in his feedback list - Evocharger. If you click on "Evocharger," his feedback list will appear. There, you'll see my name. I clicked on another EvoM member that provided feedback to Evo-L and I noticed another familiar name that's on my list and many others here - Spins4, one of the main OEM parts vendors here on the forum.

I know some people don't like PayPal and request money orders instead. I understand this, yet don't agree with it. The fees really aren't that big of a deal. PayPal is convenient and that's what you pay for, the convenience of it all. What I do is suggest to pay half of the 3% with the seller. I think that's more fair than the buyer taking the full hit.

More on track: Would I ever send a money order for parts? Only after I confirm his information, i.e., copy of driver's license, current address, phone numbers, pictures of him in front of his residence, the parts being sold, his cell phone number displayed on his cell with him in the background. Hell, I may even send the money order to a notary that could witness him signing a letter stating the details of the transaction and a statement of truth. That notary would then stamp, sign, and mail the signed statement to me.

There are ways to make a money order safe. PayPal's just more convenient, though.

Maybe this guy is just having some major life problems. Hopefully for you, not him, of course. It's still not a complete lost cause. It wasn't that long ago that this transaction began. There's still time yet.

I dealt with a guy on here that sent some OEM front and rear rotors in two packages via USPS Parcel Post - slowest of slow delivery methods with no tracking capability, only stupid delivery confirmation. I knew this from the get-go and was pissed. Well, I think it was three weeks later that I finally took delivery of the first package. Mind you, both packages were sent at the same time. I'd think that they'd in turn show up simultaneously. No. Two weeks later, the second box showed up. Luckily, all was undamaged. If it wasn't for the buyer's good communication, I would've lost my mind, so to speak.

Again, I understand your impatience. Hopefully your case will turn out as good as mine did. Keep your head up.

I will call him and tell him to take care of this. When you saw that I logged on that one day and did not respond to your PM, that was because it was me and I didnt know what was going on between you to. I will call him now, sorry about all of this.

Reason number one not to let your friends use your accounts for selling stuff. Not paypal or ebay or as small as your evom account too many things can go wrong and it comes back on you not your friend.

Hi,

I'm going to lock this thread. If the OP or the seller wants to add anything they can PM any forum mod or supermod to unlock for additional info. Otherwise this thread will fill with comments from folks who have nothing to do with the sale. Thanks.

Speedlimit..
