Someone is bound to advise you not to get an engine damper at all. They'll tell you that replacing the squishy stock front engine mount with a firmer polyurethane mount(Buschur, Forge, among others) is a cheaper, and ultimately, a more efficient and elegant solution. However it's your call.

Yea I think the engine dampner is more of a band aid. Once I get my new motor mounts I might just take the dampener off.

I personally agree with the idea of a damperner on a street driven vehicle. It's not going to stop all the roll, but it will help without transfering as much vibration to the car. Pontiac used to (and might still) put dampeners on their 2.5 equiped vehicles.

If I were going with ALOT of power and was stressing my motor mounts that much, I would upgrade the motor mounts. Starting with the front, then the rear, then all 4 if needed

I am going with a dampener, but I am worried about placing a dampener on one side, which may cause some twisting of the engine that I don't want.

Are there any companies that make a pair of dampeners, or am I going to have to fab my own up?
