and as i stated before, its a sexy car, its probably fun to drive around and pick up younger chicks, if your an older man going through his mid life crisis. majority of owners i've noticed driving s2000s are usually older men around their 40s and they think their the ****. i for one dont see a big thing with the price i could have easily bought one of those instead of the evo. but for what i was going for it wasnt practical.

You know how the Japanese videos in Best Motoring, when dubbed in english, they always use the word "driving pleasure"....
Well, I think the EVO will ultimately be faster...but the S2000 will give the better driving pleasure for the "pure driver". Its not all about being the fastest, its about enjoying the experience that the car gives you. The S2000 gives a lot more feel, while the EVO is just brutally fast...
Also, about the interior, I think the EVO interior looks better, but the S2000 interior is 10x better made, and the S2000 feels more solid (except on jumps) over the EVO.

I didn't read anything in this thread but the original post. But I own an S2000 and an Evo. My experiences locally with both Honda and Mitsubishi dealership service has been poor. And they both seem equally stingy with warranty coverage, especially on even slightly modified cars. So I'd say it's a tossup from that angle.
Personally, I think the S2000 is more fun to drive. There is nothing like driving that car top-down on a sunny day. Not that the Evo isn't fun to drive too... On a fun scale of 1 to 10, the Evo is a perfect 10, but the S2000 goes to 11.
They are obviously both very different cars. Drive them both and decide which you like best!
