i have the upper with the intake, the turbo spool sounds mean and you can actually hear the diverter valve.

it's bling...you can get more proven parts for less money

they just aren't shiny

if it's untuned it's just making noise

I use to have it and then I changed to buschur, but it was a good set for a good price. It was just a tight squeeze.

+1 you can still get all the bov noise with just a $80 buschur cone filter, plus its a dry filter so you dont have to worry about oil getting on the maf sensor

I have the whole kit, fmic, U/L ic pipes and intake. I am very pleased with the quality and performance of Injen parts and definitely recommend them. To the above poster, the injen cone is a dry one as well. No oil needed.

Injen is good for the money. I also had it on my s2000. But on the Evo, I notice better response with the buschur uicp. It's shorter and it has less bends, but its almost twice as expensive.

works well in my setup with the perrin fmic
mean sounding too
and spooling is real loud as is the bypass valve
you feel better throttle response with the LICP also

i mean my goal is straight performance, i happened to brake my stock box, but it was time to replace the filter any way, so instead of payin 70 for the drop in and then another box i was just going to get the kit with the upper and lower piping and the intake for 220? but anything that out performance the injen i'm all in

well id say the buschur combination of parts will outperform it, but for more money. Also the buschur filter is designed to direct the air in a flow that will not disrupt the maf, i dont think injen uses a design like that. overall the ic pipes arent a huge gain otherwise so its not a big deal, as far as the air filter, I'm not sure- never seen a comparison.
