save yourself more than 500 and get an ebay 3in tbe. just make sure it's 304 stainless or better. i spent that other 500 on some more go fast toys ! ; ) i've gotten some good comments from other evo members at meets n such about my exhaust. no one believes it only cost me 275 shipped to my door . some ppl have said it's louder than other evo's with exhaust so that might not be your taste. just my .02 g/l either way

cough.. -Megan- cough...
Honestly, most of these exhausts mentioned are good. My opinion is to go with a Megan Racing exhaust - full 3" turboback with no neckdowns or restrictions...
Now ask yourself: Why would one free-flowing, full 3" exhaust with no restrictions possibly be "better" than another with a more popular name brand welded onto it...
I'll tell you what - you take the $900 you were going to spend on the Tanabe, buy a full Megan TBE, complete with 3" O2 housing; then take that $300 you still have left over and buy a Forge mbc, a Tactrix cable, and an ECUflash - and rape everyone on the street with their name-brand exhausts!
rant over...

Just to make things clear the Tanabe Medallion Concept G Blue is a turbo back. It includes a cat-back, test pipe, and downpipe. The cat-back and test pipe have 80mm piping, but the downpipe has 70mm piping. It cost just as much as the AMS turbo back with a test pipe. But the AMS system has 76mm piping all throughout.
Here a link from the Tanabe web site on their system.

so the concept G blue turbo back is LOUD? i thought it should be fairly quiet since tanabe advertises that their exhausts are below a certain decibel and other stuff.

Hold on so are you saying that the tanabe has 70mm then 80mm? If you had an 80mm dp would it be alot better or is that 10 mm not really restricting much? This is so damn difficult to find an exhaust i want. Just want a nice TBE that looks great, fits well, is durable and isnt WICKED loud but noticable. Seems impossible!
you probably wont feel much a difference between the ams and tanabe tbe
