Is it a big difference in weight between the stock hood and the carbon one or is it purely a looks based thing? If its weight then does anybody make a simple fiberglass hood that can be painted?

I don't know of any readily available fiberglass ones..a few made in Japan, but big $$ in shipping if you want it quickly or a long wait to rbing the costs down (like 2-3 months), adn we obviously have no contrl over the quality 9which ranges about as much in japn as it does here!)
blkEvo will have the first CF hood from us, am sure he'll post pics

Thats what I was wondering about. So the difference will mostly be a cosmetic one. I'd rather have fiberglass since I'd only have the carbon one painted over.

If the difference is so minimal I don't see the point in paying extra for carbon to just paint over it. I wonder how much difference there is in weight between a stock trunk and a fiberglass trunk lid?
