Well, everyone, this is what up, I'm from Galants.org I got a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4L, I got a SOHC and im getting a Kia Optima DOHC Head, I donno if yall know it yet but the 2.4L Dohc Kia head is the same as the Evo 8 head, been done both the same, witch they are the same head for the Kia and the Evo 8, my question is if the talon and 2g eclipce valves cam's and what not's expecally the valves fit into the Evo 8 head, so i come here to ask if that would work and ask some people that accually have an evo 8, anything will help, Thanks

lol it is, i know all yall are gonig to flip out but it fits on our 4g64 2.4L its a dohc tho and the 2.0l 4g63 fits on the head we figured this out not to long ago thats the kia head is the same, mitsubishi sold or did somthnig with kia and in the the optima 2.4l has he 4g64 block and the head witch is pretty much the same as the 4g63 head, you can put everything all the evo 8 head parts in the optima head, i know for a fact, the Kia company pretty much too kteh 4g64 block and mated it with a 4g63 head and made it work factory, i know yall are going to be like wth, but its been done
and Us Galant owners dont have the performance parts like yall do, so we gotta make for it like a 4g63 head swap with our 4g64 head,so we can add the same turbo later, a 5 speed swap from a 3g eclipce becasue we all come in auto, beleave it or not the outlander's intake manifold mounts up to the evo 8's

the 3g eclipce been mating there 4g64 with evo 8 head and kia heads, they are the same thing almost only thing differnt is like the thermast housing and stuff, but you can take the valves everything cam's all that and put it in your own evo8 or vis versa

my friend and I discovered this at the shop I worked at over the summer. A KIA was In for an oil change and we noticed its head looked like a mitsubishi head. Then we figured out it looked like the evo head. Long story short I thought it was common knowledge

I compared the two heads back in 2003 when the evo first came out. The heads are not exactly the same. There is an extra water port on the evo head that is not on the kia version. I was thinking at the time I could buy those heads at salvage yards for 200-300 and sell them to evo guys for double. then I saw the disappointing extra water port. I thought damn so close...

Why are you so determened to use Talon/Eclipse valves? The stock Evo valves are much better than the DSM's (Talon/Eclipse). Why don't you compare the part #'s from Crower, or Supertech for the Evo 8+ vs. DSM's?
