Turbo timer installed w/ aftermarket alarm?

I just purchased an HKS Type 0 turbo timer and know nothing about the install. What makes this worse is that I also have a DEI Rattler 300 car alarm (basic alarm like a Viper) and I'm not sure if the two are compatible. What have you guys done for the install of these two? I'm sure this has been done so some cookbook instructions would be great. Thanks!

I can lock the doors with the remote while the TT is counting, but cant set the alarm. I do believe there are top of the line Viper alarms that allow arming while the motor is running, you might look into that.

umm yy cools.. my alarm is the top of the line viper alarm.... while u can arm / dearm while your autostart is running.. you CAN NOT arm/dearm while your turbotimer is counting dowen UNLESS your autostart was running b4.. its complicated.. but yea ne wayz.. NO ALARM allows you to ARM while your TT is counting down...

Here is how my TT/aftermarket alarm system works. I take the key out, and manually lock the car door. The TT keeps the car running for a bit and then turns it off. Aftermarket alarm has auto arm feature that arms the alarm a short time after the ignition is turned off by the TT.

You should read the user manual for your aftermarket alarm and customize your settings.

thanks for the info, guys. makes a lot of sense. looks like i'll have to figure out how to turn on the auto-arm feature of the alarm.
