Only when I am racing someone else... and once in an autocross.
Have to admit to operator error, too much adrenaline, too little intelligence, try to muscle it in like an old Mustang T5... if it grinds, push harder... not too bright for the Evo tranny.

It doesn't happen every time, just intermitantly, but it's always when I'm pushing the car hard. There was another thread somewhere addressing this issue, but for the time being I don't think it's that big of a problem. If it gets worse, than I'll take it back to the dealership.

Yup, always second gear. I've grinded second probably a half dozen times with a mere 1k miles. No other gear shift problems.
But I must say, I completely agree with the adage that "power is addictive" and you seemingly can't get enough. The Evo bumped my horsepower by more than 100 over my last ride. Initially I was blown away. But with just 1k miles in the car, I thirst for more WHP!
