I'm not one to talk much, but that guy couldn't drive either car worth crap.
According to either GRM or Sports Car (I forget which one) the Atom, like any car, benefits greatly from some good suspension tuning. They compared a Lo-cost to an Atom and they were very similar; however, the Lo-cost had a lot of suspension development put into it.
I would agree that this test is not a good representation of any real world type situation.

Not a very good test, in my opinion.

This is the f**king gayest thread I have ever seen.
I can't believe how many of you are actually saying that you are unimpressed with the Atom. This was the worst display of driving that I have ever seen...ever. Both of those cars were driven horribly. This test proves nothing except that those guys should be ashamed of actually publicizing their "driving skills" on television. Even if the Evo was driven properly, it would never come close to the performance of the Atom. Whoever said that a stock Evo could take an Atom on a road course should immediately kill himself. This car is super light, has almost 300 hp, and a superior suspension. Can anyone here do the math?

This is the video that everyone should be watching...not watching f**king amateurs who can only drive an atom .5 seconds faster around a slalom. Anyone who has not been impressed by an Atom that was being driven by some guy at a track only speaks for that idiot's incapabilities of driving the car. This is arguably one of the fastest cars in the world. For anyone who choses to not watch the full 9 minute video, this car beats a Honda CBR-600RR around the track (which I can argue that race at a later time), but more importantly it put down a track time faster than a Carrera GT. They also say that it has a better power-to-weight ratio than an Enzo. Yeah.
So, everyone that said this car is unimpressive is really cute, because they are so easily swayed by the first piece of information on something that comes their way. But yeah, I'm sure the guy who drove this Atom was just really lucky to get that kind of time around the track.
By the way, these cost about $80,000. In my opinion, it is worth every penny and I think they look awesome.

Looks like those numb-tards have nothing else better to do with their time. I would take the fq320 over that ugly atom. Think about it, it won by less than half a sec. The evo has a full interior, ac, heat, stereo, trunk, seats 4 need I go on. As far as I care, the atom turns heads of older people while the evo attracts a younger crowd. This is for the atom
