Need help think i have a boost leak but not sure

I have a problem. I recently put my stock air box back in my evo 9. after i did this i believe i have a boost leak. whenever i get on my car in any gear everything works fine till around 5k or so then no boost and it takes forever to redline the gear. Also im hearing a weird noise when it gets to 5k or so, like a odd leaking noise which i never heard before. im sure this is a boost leak but not positive, plus i never had this problem before so any help will be appreciated. also one of the vaccuum lines got damaged when i was installing the stock airbox so i replaced it with a slightly thicker line could that cause any issues? thanks.

When you put your stock box back on, make sure you have fastened down the two clips on the snokel. This is a common problem, and hopefully is your simple problem.

if you're on stock boost controller use the stock vacuum lines...you will have boost issues. If not on stock Boost control system disregard

You may want to try looking at the 2 vacuum lines going to the EGR. Those always pop off...

dON'T let Warrtalon find this thread. Go buy the correct boost controller lines that come with your car...trust me.

lol....Battalon

it's the snorkel issue...get 2 clips from your trunk and put it on the snorkel. Go for a drive...easiest fix ever. Thank Warrtalon and his friend who suggested it for this find.
