HOLD UP!
I was just surfin' the motor trend website and came across this.
"2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII: Mitsubishi is serious about bringing its Lancer rivalry with the Subaru Impreza WRX Stateside. Dubbed Evolution VII, the twin-turbocharged road rocket is offered in Japan for a mere $21,000-$25,000. Overseas, the Evo VII packs 280 horsepower, race-bred five-speed transmission, massive Brembo brakes, all-wheel drive, active yaw control, lightweight aluminum body pieces, Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, and titanium interior trim. Expect the U.S. version to sacrifice a few horses to meet California emissions, putting output in the 260-270 hp range."
DID THEY JUST SAY "TWIN-turbocharged" ???? IS IT REALLY ????

?? Hey, this might be a stupid question, but it's been lingering in my mind. Can someone give me the lowdown on twin scroll turbo for the evo, and anyone install a "misfiring system" into their evo? again, this question might sound stupid, but i'm still "in the dark" about it. thanks

Here is an explanation of twin scroll turbo charger from this web article
http://www.autofieldguide.com/articles/050103.html
Further enhancements in performance and efficiency can be found through the use of a twin-scroll exhaust nozzle. In a single-scroll design, exhaust gasses are combined and fed into the turbo. As engine speed rises, back pressure increases, and exhaust gasses are drawn into the combustion chamber where they mix with the intake charge. In a twin-scroll design, however, cylinders are paired, and their exhaust released into a dedicated entry. "This way," says Paolo Carmassi, product line director for Garrett Engine Boosting Systems, "you don't have a build up in back pressure affecting the intake charge for the other set of cylinders."

EJ
