hey you know what, i think it's a common problem w/ seibon cf parts, i bought a sebon cf hood and the alignment was terrible, the edges were unevenly cut, etc. i would send it back if i were you, my hood started cracking aswell because one side fit perfectly but the other side was rubbing a lil bit

i've had seibon hoods for all my cars and the fitment isn't perfect, but my bodyshop guy told me it was on the higher quality side than most of the stuff people bring him to install. he said he just had to modify the mounting brackets a little. a boydshop will take care of that in like 45 mins. - they'll explain what they did afterwards too, so then you'll know

i boughht a seibon hood for my srt4 and the quality was awesome but it didnt fit at all.. i also got a VIS cf hood for my golf and that hood was HORRIBLE.. quality sucked and the fitment sucked...started to bubble and crack and i tried to send it back and they wouldn't take it back... i'll never do business again with VIS...
all cf products aren't going to be 100% perfect.. just the way it is..

I just purchased a CF trunk, and I have yet to receive it... but I purchased it after a month-long search on various boards and customer reviews... the simple answer is "for the most part, you get what you pay for" With these trunks and hoods under $500, the quality is hit or miss. It all depends on how close to the end of the Chinese work day it is when it's layed up, or popped from the mold. For the most part, they suck.
VIS, Seibon... both can be good, but I have heard far more negative reviews than positive.
For the Evo, the highest reviews for a trunk were with the Evodave trunk. There are pictures of one here:
and here's the inside:
From what I have read, the quality is there... It's taking a bit longer for mine to get here than I anticipated, but I am sure it's on it's way. It's about 2Xs what Seibon or VIS charge for their trunks, but as I said, you get what you pay for.
Now, I have also read that people have installed their CF trunks, and due to the pressure of the stock springs, the trunks warp over time. this also can cause bowing on one side if you only remove one spring. So I purchased a set of trunk struts to eliminate this problem from redline tuning here: Trunk quick lifts
If I were you, I would take pictures of your problem. Send them to the vendor/manufacturer. If they help you fix it, then GREAT. if not, return the item. If the vendor will not accept the item back, send it back, and dispute the charges saying that the quality of the product was not as expected.
Then buy a higher quality item.

I have had numerous seibon hoods and all seem to just be a tad short in the front corners, anyways to your post. I also have a seibon trunk and it fits amazing. When I bought it, I could not get it to fit for hours. I had to change the bolts to the latch and actually move the latch up and out and now it fits perfectly flush.. You really need to play with it as anything that isn't OEM usally fits like crap.
