Mitsubishi Survey???

Has anyone else had someone do a survey for Mitsubishi call them about their Evo? For once there werer some reasonable questions. You were asked to rate 1-5 what optinos you'd like to see on an Evo such as:
Active Center Diff
Limited Slip Front Diff
6-speed Trans
Auto climate control
etc. etc.

Asked if Mitsubishi's involvement in rallying played a part in your decision to buy an Evo. Would you like to see Mitsubishi sponsored driving schools, rally driving schools. What else would you like to see Mitsubishi offer? My response - 6 speed, ACD and an RS version of the car!

I took that survey. The lady asked my if I liked my 6-speed, AYC, ACD, etc etc - I laughed and told her all that stuff was JDM and Euro-spec. She was surprised. I told her we all wanted it and I gave them an enthusiastic response to the driving schools and track days. I got the call a few weeks ago.

I gave low marks for the interior and for wind noise - with the windows up or down, there is WAY too much. I wasn't expecting a Lexus, but come on...

From what Mitsubishi says, the future Evos in the US will be more of a distinct version from what the rest of the world gets. If that is true, I will be glad to have the one closest to the rest of the world. I can only imagine a US-specific car becoming softer and weaker... I hope not. Of course I really hope that Nissan brings the next Skyline here with all the goodies.

For all of you that want a 6spd, did you ever drive a 6spd car?
I drove the 6spd STI and I acutally found it somewhat a pain in the ***. There was way too much shifting going on at least for my liking (and no, I don't want an automatic). So you'll gain the extra 0.1 seconds somewhere, but I'm perfectly happy with 5spd.

Also, how many of you think that you will actually use the adjustable differential? Are you planning on driving on the streets that fast so as it makes a difference? If your answer is yes, then you are one stupid person and I hope you don't live around me or where my family lives. If on the other hand you want that for racing purposes (auto-x, rally, road corouse), then I would agree that it would be a beneficial feature. However, the tendency is that once you set it, you leave it alone. I myself prefer the cheaper price of the car instead of this feature.

I never got any phone calls, but I did get a JD Powers survey.
I gave low marks for the wind noise and transmission problems I had.
I would want a 6 speed for highway driving. We don't have big city traffic down here, and when on the road at 85 mph turning 4000 rpm's, it's just sucking the gas gauge south faster than I would like. JMO.

Me me. I just want to add the snow feature could be easier to drive in the winter, for us northern folks.

I'd say the order should go:

............................. What ever happend to titanium turbos? anyways.
1. Front LSD.
2. ACD
3. 6-speed optional
4. Truth fully don't care about semi-climate control on the STi. My orginal reason I wanted it was so i could have more clicks than four. I when 2nd click is too high and 1st click is too low. Six or more click would be excellent
5. JDM 2-din radio please
6. AYC optional

You guys are NUTS on the wind noise. The noise is minimal and very bearable. My wifes audi ( 2003 ) makes more noise and the sunroof is unbearable to the point that she is not allowed to have it open when I am in the car.

Compared to the escalade the evo is also quiet. So I would say you all are crazy.

The only thing I dont like about the interior is the blue crap on our seats. The sti seat cloth is what I would prefer. The blue just does not look good.

I just got the call today at work about the survey. They had some interesting questions, but of course, the individual on the line had no clue what she was even talking about. She had to stumble through some of the language.
