wow...if my clutch went out as early as all these guys i would trade my evo in ....that's just crazy....i've never even owned a car where the clutch went out...and my truck i had was at 250k when i sold it....of course i don't go around launching my car either...i'm not sure what these people are trying to do to their cars....they must just rag the crap out of them.....geez...take care of your cars people....maybe they just bought the evo as their race car and they are rich and have another car as a dd...i dunno...anyways i'm at 25k and still counting

raced mine at the track 3 times. Dropped the clutch only about 10 times and it lasted me 50K miles.

30k, went out at the drag strip after 5 launches... was slipping before hand.

i hear what ur saying but most ppl who buy EVO's buy them to drive them just like Porsche owners. now granted there are idiots who buy EVO's, break them & then whine to us on the forums bcuz they can't afford to replace what they broke but as the motto goes u gotta pay to play. i burned my clutch at around 12k miles but mine is a weekend car & the clutch lasted me 2yrs even with several visits to the dragstrip. i got about 25 timeslips under the clutch b4 it went. also when ppl start adding power the clutch will naturally go faster bcuz of the added torque. not to mention AWD cars no matter what maker eats clutches. it's not if, but when...

3,100 clutch slips if ya go over 1500 rpms now bolt's on added at 500miles and was beat to death after that. Tires about gone too.

60,000+ miles so far on my 03 evo.

About 300 whp (soon to be more with e85/injectors/cams! We'll see how much longer she lasts! )


I can't believe some people have only got less than 10,000 miles on the stocker...crazy!
