Pealing Brakes, faded rear wing, good luck with warranty?
So I went to the Mitsubishi dealer to pick up the key for my wheel lock because I lost mine. While I was there I asked them to warranty out my front brake calipers because the clear coat is pealing off. I also asked them about the warranty on my rear wing as well because the clear coat on the carbon fiber center piece are fading/blemished.
What the service manager told me is that Mitsubishi won't warranty out the faded brakes anymore. They used to but now Mitsubishi is saying that the calipers are working fine. They won't warranty it just because of the pealing clear coat.
About the rear wing, he told me that Mitsubishi will warranty it out BUT, they won't replace the rear wing. Their excuse is that the rear wing is working fine and the faded/blemish center piece won't effect it. What they can do is color match paint it. So if your car silver, they'll paint it silver, if it's yellow they'll paint it yellow. Now why in the hell would I want to paint over my CF wing?
My car is a 2005 model with less then 50K miles on it so it is under warranty. Well I just wanted to share some information with you guys, and I now I need to know how to re-coat the caliper and rear wing. Damn this sucks.

I've had about four evo 8 wings because we replaced them under warranty. I took them home because mitsu said to scrap them. and i also replace all four brembos on two evo's. but i have to admit it waas for people who worked here. If you remember bill pettigrew aka spins4 and one tech. but if you put up a big enough fight the dealer might do it. and deff dont think they will come to you. you got to ask, and pretty much demand it but dont be a dick cause then theyll give you the run around
