Truck Tire blow out hurt my MR

Last Saturday morn heading off to work a 18wheel truck tire blewout in front of me causing serious damage to my MR. The bumper is trashed all of the grills are messed up the lower chin spoiler is gone, the undertray is missing parts, the passenger inner fender is ruined, the hood took some damage due to dents and paint scratches, the intercooler has lots of bent fins, and the oil coller also has bent fins. All in all it did over $3K worth of damage.
It could have been worse, much worse. I'm fortunate very fortunate. I'll get the MR repaired and most likely be better than before. A word of advice have good insurance, and a good paint and body man...

Well I get a new front bumper, new intercooler, oil cooler and hood. At this point those insurance premiums are paying off. Just trying to decide which parts to get. My Paint and Body man can't get to it until after Halloween, he has 2 cars in the Sema show. But I had better decide which parts I want and get to ordering them ASAP.

so whats the difference man? why is it an option for an 80K pound trunk but not an evo? you would think it was more logic for a smaller car that a GOD Damn Semi. I think you watched too many eposodes of Dirty jobs where they made a joke of this.....

retreads are options for any tires, its just not a good, sound, safe, nor should they be allowed period IMHO.

I understand. Retreads are ok if they are properly made and used. But your right overall they are not a good idea as a replacement tire in generall for any vehicle to a new
