shift light

Is it possible to put shift light in where the lancer sign is on dash

Sure, it's possible, but why in the world would you want to do something like that? That would require looking both down and to the side to be aware of shift points...if you're already looking down, why not just look at the tach?

this may not be the answer youre lookin for BUT i have the G-TECH pro meter mounted on the windshield next to the mirror and it has built in adjustable shift lights that work awesome. I actually use the meter now just for that purpose.

i wouldnt see why u couldnt do it....i think thats an awsome idea i was gonna put a shift light in my evo to

go with an audio shift sensor.. they work well

Are you serious

My buddy Rodion told me to do the shift light in behind the lancer sysmbol but i'm not looking forward to taking the dash apart to do it.

That would be a pretty neat idea. Maybe you can even leave the lancer sign in there and put the light behind it so lancer lights up at shift point.

does it matter what kind a shift light ? or what size could possibly fit in there?

YES, you can do it, YES it is easy, YES you can see a bright yellow LED without looking down.

There are a least 2 blanks behind the lancer face where bulbs are not used on the US model.

I have had a LED there for some time and have used it on the track during the day without looking down at the tac.

If you want I can snap a picture and post it tomorrow.
