My friend is taking his car to Morgan Performance Fabrication (MPFab) soon so Walker can make a jig for the external dump O2. He's just trying to work out arrangements so he can leave the car there for a few days. So, it is in the works.
BTW, Walker does make Evo turbo kits. He's been making twin scroll T3/T4 kits for a while and the craftsmanship is simply amazing. I just don't think he sells them as complete retail kits as most of his work is "built to order."

So, is this going anywhere? You'd think with 9 pages, we'd be somehwere by now :P
I'm hoping they're going to be made from scratch. It'll look and work nicer. Maybe be a little more expensive, but also save alot of shipping hassle.

ICS Performance in Connecticut makes these as well. Not sure if they still do. They test fitted a red Evo9 with it and they saw great results. i don't have the specifics of the results but Al (dynoflash) does. They tuned my car the same night that evo9 was tuned. Anyone interested can call George (cool guy) at ICS....203-653-2394.

Making a new housing would look better but I doubt it would perform any better. Plus most people already have the e-bay O2 housing because it's a great bang for the buck item. I bet most people would rather have their exhisting housing modified than to have to buy another unit. Plus, the e-bay item is so inexpensive it would be hard to justify spending a good bit more money just to have something that was prettier. It hardly visible once on the car.

Here is a thought...
I have a notion:
I think the spike we have with our stock turbos is necessary for peak whp/trq numbers and helps in acceleration. When using an o2 dump we can expect to control boost more precisely....i.e. eliminate the spike. Our cars can hadle a 24-25psi spike (tuned). The o2 dump isnt gonna help us keep higher boost at redline (or is it?). It simply reduces the chances of overboosting, a condition plaguing our small quick-boosting turbos.
So i guess this is how it will help. Setting boost to 22lbs, will no longer net a 25lbs+ spike, but we may see less boost at redline without that spike!?!?!?!
Opinions?

By venting some exhuast flow outside the system it aides the exhuast sytem by reducing the over all back pressure
