What could this problem be

hey guys, i have got an evo 9 and lately its been acting wierd, the car at idle idles at about 500 rpm and whe i let offf in 1st, 2nd, 3rd etcc..the car doesnt engine break it, it goes faster..this sounds like a boost leak but ihave honestly checked every possible line and theres no holes in the line aor anything,, that else should i check and what could this be...thanks for ur help guys

i would check things like the idle adjustment screw, throttle cable and things around the throttle body...sounds like something may have come loose.

+1 check the throttle cable to see if its in its little clip on the valve cover

i took out the intake box and the upper intercooler pipiing tonght to see for any leaks on any of the lines or pipes...after putting it back together i had a check engine light....omg help me guys....im gonna flip out

Did you hook up your mass air sensor after putting the intake box back in?

I agree with the throttle cable, make sure it isn't binding.

Check for the throttle sticking and for deposits on the throttle plate or in the throttle body bore at the throttle plate. Remove any deposits with solvent on a cleaning cloth.

i can just take off the upper intercooler pipe(the rubber hose) and dio that right?
