EVO 8 vs. M3
Hypothetically speaking....I know the M3 comes stock with 333 horses under the hood. It's also RWD and weighs approximately 3,500 pounds. The EVO's got 270ish horses, AWD and weighs over 4,000 pounds.
That's the tale of the tape......what happens in a straight line?? We all know the EVO would destroy the M3 otherwise........

I think the 4000lb you are talking about is the maximum passenger capacity of the vehicle.

Hanzo's got it right....The EVO's gross weight is 4400 LBS (appx).
That number reflects the maximum recommended weight the car should not exceed when fully laden with occupants and luggage. Gross weight = curb weight + people + all the crap they are bringing with them
Curb weight is how much the car weighs sitting at the curb, ready to go for a drive.....ie curb weight = car+ the weight of all liquids (gas/oil/coolant etc).
Evo's curb weight is 3260lbs ....if I rem correctly..
SC~
