i'll be getting one when my daughter is big enough the weight range is 18-80lbs because it converts into a booster when they get bigger. you won't be able to use this until after 1 year old, they have to ride in a rear facing car seat until about a year. i've done a lot of research and it has been given outstanding reviews as far as quality and safety after all it is made by Recaro

I will be buying those when my child is big enough. We are due in April and I am afraid that rear facing seats in the back of the evo and boosting will lead to a very stretched out young'un or brains in the feet one of the two!!

I dont recall reading any reviews on the Recaro seats although I know there is someone on here that has two for their kids because they posted pictures a while back.

We read a bunch of consumer reports and general reviews online and ended up buying the Baby Trend Flex-Loc http://www.babytrend.com/products_de...0000&LampID=59

I know that the United States restrictions on infant seats is very poor compared to the UK. We have a subscription to Consumer Reports so it showed all the UK models too and they are by far better with their standards.

The Recaro seats are pretty awesome though. Im not sure how safe they are.

Try some parenting sites...tell momma to sign up at cafemom -- my girl uses it and loves it. Im sure some of the moms over there could say whether or not they are good.

Good Luck and Congrats! You are fixing to experience the most exciting thing ever!

Ok, the problem is that when the seat is rear facing the front seat has to be ALL the way up. So the seat can't go behind you and no one can sit in the front passenger seat, either. The second problem, and I have experience with this (sans baby in the back), is if you get rear-ended the rear glass EXPLODES into the passenger compartment, potentially right into the face of your baby.

My wife got pregnant and I bought a Tahoe. Fin. (I still drive the Evo, woot!)

Edit: Congrats, too, btw!
