Yes it should affect FI cars more because turbos/superchargers compress air which is naturally a lot hotter than natural air coming in. Our innercoolers do a pretty good job of helping to cool intake air, but if its very hot outside the affects of heat on our cars are a lot more apparant.

Also, don't forget that hotter intake charge temps require less timing advance for knock-free combustion. Taking away 1 deg of advance on a turbo car that only runs 6-15 degrees of advance yields a much bigger power loss than taking away one degree of timing in an NA car that runs 25-30 degrees. The latter engine is far more efficient to begin with.

Cheers,
shiv

PS. We're waiting for the first delivery of sway bars. Should have an good ETA by Tuesday.

Just read the article...the Evo wins, even with a worn clutch...Vishnu's lightly-modded Evo totally smoked everyone, of course!

There was also the "Eight Great Rides" article in that same issue...they are calling the Evo VIII the "new yardstick" of sport compact cars under $30K.

Every day that goes by, I am more and more glad I chose the Evo...

Just read that article here. Was pretty interesting the times posted. They said the reason being the worn clutch and the temp at time of the test. Even still was cool to see the Evo go head to head with some of Germanys finest examples.

As cars in general get bigger, the standard for compact cars will as well. Not everyone can or wants to drive a Mini Cooper.

I would tend to agree with you about it being a girl's car, but the stunt drivers in movies like "Borne Identity" and "The Itallian Job" do some crazy **** in those little bastards.

A little OT. Sorry.
