How fast have you people got your evos going? Ive heard rumors of people hitting 170 mph!!! Is that possible??? Im not talking about track times, I mean open road.

 

Yeah man! I hit 161MPH once and never did it again!

 

Well I can neither confirm nor deny the allegations of my speeding but my car has seen 162mph. It had more in her but there was some traffic on the horizon.

 

120 in 4th gear. Thtis was at a dry lake bed and I didnt have room to shift to 5th

 

umm....... about 10-20 over the posted speed limit...... but when i was younger i did about 145-150mph........ stupid.. stupid... stupid.. just think what would happen if you get a high speed blowout... you could kill someone..(obvioulsy, if youre goin that fast.. you dont even care about your own life.. but you gotta think about others) and what if someone just cuts you off... either way.. youre gettin fncked! its not worth it... just save it for the track people......

 

120 mph on a race course, autobahn in Joliet to be exact. Doing triple digits on public roads is unsafe and stupid. I have never come close to triple digits with the Evo in public roads. Too many bad outcomes possible.

 

16x on a long empty highway at 2am. Did not see any cars on that freeway beginning to end . Not a smart move on my part though

 

FYI your speedo reads high, so unless the fuzz got you on teh lidar you were not going as fast as you think you were going.

And if you want to go fast, take it to the track

Well, ironically, the fastest I ever went was in my n/a fwd 3000GT. 143mph. Downhill. Strong tailwind.

I've only had the chance to get the Evo up to about 120.
