bad evo to buy?
okay i know this evo isnt the least beat on evo probably but how much beating has it taken do you guys think. Its not the only evo out there but it stuck out as cheap and stuff (which i know is NOT what i should focus on). But i think with the mods it has probably been "used". If i do decided to check it out seriously im surly gonna get a compression test and inspect it THOUROLY!.
What im asking is, to you does this car stick out as a hells nah for a used evo?
And im guessing this guy is prob a member here, so im saying now im not trying to be offensive.

Hard (impossible) to tell from what you have there. Inquire about the major services (it's already supposed to have had a timing belt replacement at this mileage), and perhaps pay a service to go out and take a look at it ($200 well spent).

the mod list is time. Turbotrix does a good tune. If what is written is true, I wouldn't worry to much about the abuse of higher boost and the mods on the car. Seems expensive to me though.

Actually it sounds like he does not know how to mod a EVO. The walbro 255 fuel pump should of been one of the first things he did to that EVO and in the post it says he has not even installed it yet.

i didnt even know there were services to check out cars like you mentioned, how good are they on evos? But i dont think i will go that way ide definetly want to c it myself. But one of my major problems with cars is i HATE notchy gears, like when the synchros r bad. Think thats a problem with it, is that a milage related thing or just related to the owners shifting habits???

If you want to see how well the car's been taken care of, ask to see the maintenance records. If the owner presents you a tidy notebook with all the records inside, I'm willing to bet the car's been really well taken care of. A tidy notebook signifies **** Retentiveness, which in this case, would be a good sign.
If the owner has sporadic records, or none at all, the safe thing to do would be to walk.
BTW- if everything looks good, still get a Carfax
