272s + bigger than stock turbo = problems at low rpms regardless of hill or not, that's when 264 + stock turbos pass cars similarly set up at the track coming out of corners
Or buy a car with a bigger engine and different gear ratios... I love being in 6th in the Porsche and still being able to have power on the freeway... turbo-lag is definitely one of the main things I don't miss.

what i think people are misunderstanding is....he isnt having a hard time taking off on hills, its just trying to drive up them at speeds lower then 10mph.under 10mph the engine is pretty much at idle speed, so you must slip the clutch if you're trying to drive up, lets say a really steep winding driveway...but then what could you expect not many gas 4 cylinders are known for off idle tq lol

you should learn more about your car, why Evos dont have bigger engines..
The rules of Rallying, says the Engine has to be a 2 litre, and to show you how big that is, this carton contain 2.3 litres of Milk ... so this engine, is smaller than this, but yet, Mitsubishi British Engineers has managed to Extract 400 horse power from this engine, 400 horse power !! from something smaller than that, Tychnically that is astonishing
....
WTF am i saying, Too much Top Gear

get a stroker
put in a 2.3 and problem solved. I have a lot of power b4 any boost begins. Even on diesel hill climbs. just gonna cost you about 5g's. then put in a GT35R and you can spin all the way up the hill

I just blip the throttle first and release the clutch as the revs come back down and I slowly get into the gas to stop the revs from falling too fast / because the clutch is being released. I thought this was what everybody did?
