I'm honestly in the same boat and it seems to be a coin toss between the two. I would honestly go with which ever one you feel most comfortable with and can get a good deal on.

Cams are the type thing that you get what you pay for IMHO. I'm not saying cheaper cams are bad I'm saying that more expensive cams often are more expensive because of the engineering put into their creation. Many of the cheaper ones copy the designs of others.
Personally I'd rather pay more for a company whose engineering I trust.
Off the two companies I don't know much about either, but from what I've heard, Cosworth engineering is second to none. When I decide to do cams i will be deeply researching GSC, Cosworth, and Skunk2(IDK if the make Evo cams, but I'm intrigued by their designs and profiles).
I'm probably off topic and not helping much, but what I can tell you is understand the camshaft and how it works. Research the companies engineering. Lastly, from what I've heard, Cosworth makes top of the line parts.
Let us know what you decide.

Most of the big-name shops recommend Cosworth. This write-up sounds like great things for GSC.

It's kind of a toss up since they are both great sets of cams.

I'm asking this because a friend from work just installed some GSC cams on his 'VIII and he now has a ROUGH idle, and it's a pain in the butt to get out of first gear (takes a higher rev to not stall)

Any tuner can get rid of the poor idle if you ask. I have a friend who had one of the first sets of S1 cams in his 9 and they produced a lot of power and his car idles fine. GSC really pays attention to how their cams are made in-terms of quality and power. Greg knows his stuff. My suggestion is to call shops and ask what they think of the GSC cams. GOOD LUCK...
