Official EVO Insurance Thread

I decided against it because of the fine print, and because I haven't invested a lot in mods yet. From my understanding, the aftermarket parts are severely devalued compared to OEM parts, which kind of makes sense, since OEM parts are severely inflated. The pay out for mod insurance just doesn't seem worth it unless you have some serious investment in mods.

I used insurance premium rates before deciding to order my order (pick it up next month) - it was reasonable adding $140 to my existing policy for my Tacoma. Now I have the VIN, I called USAA to to future date the coverage, the quote with the VIN is more than $200/month higher than before. I'm looking at over $500/month now for the two cars. They have no explanation as to why the VIN made it jump up that much higher. I gave them a VIN of a new 335i with a MSRP of 62k and it was only $160 more to my policy. I don't get it. Why the hell is this car so expensive to insure??
For some info: the primary policy holder is 28, 1 ticket two years ago, active duty military and I am 24, clean driving record. We've both never had a single claim or accident. I am 100% certain something is off with the data provided by the new Evo's VIN. Another company asked me to confirm the MSRP and the lowest the system would allow was 60k. Unfortunately, insurance is all corporate and no one has the power to fix this.

I called to get a quote. I told them I was looking at an 08 EVO. They said they didnt have that as an option. So my quote was like 300 for 6 months.
