Im 22 and I live in California, I have 2 points (70in65 & following to closely) also 1 accident and I pay $280 per month for full coverage w/ $1000 deductible through Allstate.

I want to try out a few other companies and see if they can offer something cheaper. Next month 1 of my points comes off my record so i'm hoping my rates will decrease significantly. The last point should be removed around the end of the year.

How do you get them to insure aftermarket stuff?

wanted to chime in on this

24 years old ( gonna be 25 this DEC)
live in Laredo Tx (south)
had a couple accidents but only 1 is actually in their Data (ive called and verified )
had my fair share of speeding tix (roughly 9) but only 2 come out. one for a minor fender bender and the other for no license plate!

and i pay..... (drumroll) .............. $168 dollars a month!

i am with AllState... under my OWN policy, with FULL COVERAGE. i got it down from 212 to 180+ with 1000 deductible and am payin the 6month premium $1,008.68 which comes out to about 168 dollars a month.

Hello all, looking for some insight.... which specific insurer covers extensive after-market modifications? I've custom built my EVO w/ thousands in after-market equipment. Are there any insurance companies in the 'regular' market, or do I need a specialty carrier? If a specialty carrier, then I'm looking for their respective name/address/phone#/website/location. Would I send them a complete list of my parts list so as to facilitate cover on each individual part with an approximate replacement value if lost/damaged/stolen? Thanks for everyone's thoughts/comments/suggestions/insight! Any & all replies appreciated.

You might want to direct that specifically to Evo owners in Canada, since you may get suggestions from people who don't take note of that but will suggest companies that don't do business there

The ones I'm aware of that do provide coverage for aftermarket equipment don't do insurance in Canada, unfortunately. (I work in insurance.) You might want to look into your policy though, A LOT of companies automatically provide a set amount (usually $1,000) for aftermarket equipment anyway.
