Soooo I had to jump into this convo...lol!
#1 - there is no such thing as a average insurance policy. Asking people across the nation is what they are paying is going to get you nowhere.
Insurance is a custom product - there are so many factors that go into your pricing ranging that you can't compare your policy to someone else without alot of info. For example - What kind of liability do you have, $20,000, $50,000, $100,000,$1M ? Liability or full coverage? What kind of deductibles?
If you did want to compare - what would you be paying if all things were equal.
Secondly - How is your license?Where do you live? Credit? Accidents? What kind of car? What about your household - do u live by yourself or do you have kids ? I can go on and on...
All I want to get across is you need to speak to a licensed, reputable broker before you make a decision. Sure GEICO might give you a good price, but 9 times outta 10 they are giving you the crapiest coverage available without running you your license. You sign up and then then bam 3 weeks later - your price goes up. Often people are uninformed on a purchase that is very important (whether you believe it or not) an should look more into the policy then the price.
Just my 2 cents!
If anyone has questions - please feel free to ask!

If you want a reliable answer, consult whoever gave you the loan, and consult the insurance company. Do be prepared for them to tell you no however. Some people prefer to be blissfully ignorant, but that may bite you in the end if they (insurance) decline your future claim. Check the fine print and as another person said, consult a professional.

Insurance costs
I'm almost out of college and have always wanted an evo, my dreams are about to come true and I couldn't be happier. I was wondering what is everyone paying for insurance? My car payments are looking nice and low but I have yet to get an insurance quote and what with it being Christmas eve I don't want to bug them
Specify if its full or liability please.

That sounds so low. I work at discount tire and even my managers are sayin it will cost me almost if not the same as the car payments.
Anyone with no tickets on their record (like myself) paying something really high?
