hollowed out my cat
i'm pretty sure mine was a high flow cat so i don't know if it's this easy for a regular cat
so i took this off my car
used these
ended up with all this
and this
honestly, this is the best free mod i've done to any of my cars lol, everything feels so much smoother

now you cant pass emissions because you cant switch over now.
i would have just bought a test pipe, then when emissions rolls around switch it out with the cat.

$6=2 gallons of gas
i have my stock exhaust to be thrown back on for emissions, which was the only reason i was willing to do this
notice the right side of the cat has v-band clamp flange, for 3" down pipe

i have been wonering the same thing. i have a perrin hfc, which is basically a test pipe with a cheese grater stuffed in it. it really doesn't seem all that restrictive.
i have been debating for a weeks wether or not to include a test pipe in my next round of upgrades.

i'm pretty sure mine is a hfc also, it came with the vishnu turbo back system, i'm currently only running the downpipe and cat from that setup but anyways, if you look at the third pic, you can see the "cheese grater" it's 2" thick and there's 2 sections of it, that's gotta be way more restrictive than say, nothing lol
