I guess there is not much you can do since your parents are buying the car for you. Maybe you should look at the new ralliart turbo awd i believe it is like 230hp or do some really good convincing to your parents on why you should have an EVO. Just some ideas. Good luck

Carmax cars always *look* nice

anyway, if your parents are buying you a car you should be glad with whatever you get. The X might be better than everyone is saying, nobody actually knows yet so don't get down about that.

This would be an instance of the classic bait and switch. You are lucky the dealer didn't sell your old car and stiff you on it... if you check over at consumerist they have all kinds of examples of that.

if you dont have a job that will cover your expenses..... get rid of some expenses or get a better job. its not a hard thing to grasp. i can only imagine what insurance is on 16yr old w/ a evo. its not worth it. just so u can have a fast car you would wanna have no money. people need to get their priorities in order

ok, so who in here wouldnt choose evo over a POS car if their parents offered to buy one?
how about a farrari? lambo? maybe a something else worth 1.2mil?
unless you are retarted or have a grudge against your parents that completely overtakes you, i think you will be willing to give a "YES, i want it" answer.
some people just have money, what can i say?

and...
its not an argument. it was just something i decided to post up to help stop the instant flaming of kids with evos or something nice which probably isnt gonna happen anyways. and yes, there was instant flaming in this case. what else you want me to say, dog?

anyone who is fortunate enough to have their parents buy them a nice car wouldnt be saying anything against a topic like this which we've rambled onto. he is lucky that's all there is to it.
on the other hand, there are a lot of young people out there with cars they cant handle due to experience or just plain immaturity but that's them. what else is there to say? its not like you can stop them and make them grow up faster. just my opinion again, not an argument...

Again that argument is useless and does not in any way contribute to why a young person should have an evo as their first car. My parents could easily have afforded to buy me a better car but they chose not to.

No since I'm dismissing your argument as false. Dismissing a false argument does not make your argument false. It seems to me that your basic premise is that since any one here would take an evo if it was offered to them, it is appropriate for a young person to drive one, which is ridiculous. I'm not directing anything at you, I'm simply pointing out that the logic of that argument is horribly flawed.
Noticed you edited your post, good, I was just about to suggest that.

Why in the world would your parents buy you an evo at the age of 16. They will most likely regret it when the bills start coming for maintenance and insurance. Or when you wreck it like so many others at 16 who think they know how to drive.

it doesnt matter. it all boils down to...who wouldnt take an evo for free?...which is not an argument for the 3rd time. i personally would take a free evo...free meaning no payments for the car, none for insurance...who wouldnt? how about any car?

ok, so u think young ppl dont deserve an evo? i believe that is a horrible opinion. it's like saying young ppl don't deserve cars at all. why?...it's not like they cant do the same things they can do in an evo in a different car. there is nothing wrong with anyone who has their mind right (not high or drunk..etc) to be driving and owning an evo who has earned their license. if you dont think so, try and go change the way the goverment works concerning driving licenses for young ppl. i have no idea why the govt chose those ages and then have ppl all over the country make useless opinions against it.

you're lucky i edited my post. i did you a favor to not let ppl know you are an annoying *** when it comes to threads. never ending arguments...proven to happen over and over again. i guess you like to argue. what can i do but reply back?

Ok so it's not part of an argument/a premise, what's the point then? I fail to see how it is in any way relevant to the thread.
I don't think anyone deserves an evo, done. Arguments like getting good grades, getting into college, not doing drugs, etc. fail since those things are expected of those that are capable of them and more importantly, they are in the person's best interest.
My problem with young people and fast cars is that 1. statistically they are far more of a danger than just young drivers (can't remember the exact numbers but it was something like 4 times more likely to be involved in an accident) and 2. they are mentally mature enough to make wise decisions. Yes older people make stupid mistakes (I do so on a daily basis) but as a general rule they make less mistakes and they are of a lesser impact. There is a reason why insurance is so high for young drivers and it's not because insurance companies are conspiring against them.
Actually you did yourself a favor by editing your post, it's not wise to insult and flame those in a position to issue bans.
