I'm, sorry you must be the new evom english teacher. I DON'T CARE!
I've owned 2 of these things and I know the specs on them. ITS AT LEAST 200lbs difference! My car weighs 3120 with me and a 1/4 tank of gas....I weigh 165 then add the fuel! SO, IF you can really drive you should be able to pull at least the same, if not a better time than Car and Driver or Motor Trend or whom ever you look at for specs.
I think you should probably read a little closer....I NEVER said that 100lbs made 2 mph and .2 difference......I said that it needs to be MORE then 100! I'm sorry it was kind of a hidden message. Read what you quoted me from before, im being sarcastic! (YOU'RE the one who needs the clue.)

My post didn't say a damn thing about the RS' times specifically. Get it? I was talking about a difference of 100lbs. I already said that I was incorrect about the RS weight difference (damn me for believing the official weight). Therefore I already admitted that any statement I made regarding the RS' performance was probably overly conservative. Is the picture coming together for you now?
I'm done here.

Holy misinformation batman.
EVERY 2004 Evo VIII RS had AC, none had HIDs. None had aluminum roof panels.
Many interior trim pieces are different.
A lot of JDM RSes are so much lighter because they have smaller JDM lancer ES seats and no brembos.
d
EDIT: My 2004 RS was 3080 lbs (on several different sets of racing scales) _stock_

You are WRONG, you couldn't order an 04 RS without AC. Everyone keeps repeating the same thing they read in some magazine in 04 or on the net. A FEW press cars were without AC in the US. There were no 04 RS's sold without AC as in a customer could delete that option off an order sheet. Wishful thinking, not so.

On the original order sheets, there was supposed to be an A/C add option but there wasn't and it isn't mention as an addition on my original window sticker. The Urban Jungle Package was mentioned in a lot of early product literature, but likewise was never available on an order sheet.

Well it CAN be your DEF. correct by saying that but in this case its not that big a diff between the 4 models if you pull up the specs on stock track times for them all. there IS a diff. though no argument there.
