Should an '04 w/ AYC & ACD cost more?
I'm one of the guys holding off for the next year. Now that Subaru has brought the STi w/ all the goods (minus the seats) to the US, is it not entirely feasable for Mitsu to do the same? The engine has been in production for years and can't cost too much for them to make anymore and the AYC/ACD have been out for awhile as well (ignoring the new label of "super"). So should a new loaded model go for more than $33, the same $2K price difference between the STi and Evo8?

Does Mitsu really need to?
The EVO VIII has similar track numbers when compared with the fully blown STi. Yet comes with....
Minus 29hp
Minus 1 gear
Fixed center differential
No Front LSD

To answer you original question.....Yes...It would and should cost more. I once heard of a JDM EVO owner here in the states who had to cough up $10k to get a new AYC/ACD system shipped. Never mind the labor to replace it!
Yet most EVO owners without track or racing experience wouldn't be able to take full advantage of the system anyways.
All I'm trying to say is.... a 6-speed and more hp would be a more "useable" upgrade.
