I had all kinds of clowns wanting to race me when I had my wing on. Took it off and put on a Rexpeed Type C and that all ended. Get lots of compliments on the Type C as well from Evo owners and non owners

Much less attention. ditto on the vinyl. You can get a larger hole punch @ a craft store (Thanks to the wife for the good idea :] ) in the scrap booking supplies to make perfect circles for the holes. I also have a circle of clear front bra material
(3M) to better seal the silver vinyl that masks the holes (in the Vt. winter, the silver doesn't last many car washes) I purchased a 3/4 inch and 1 inch punch.
Hope this helps.

There is no need to cover the holes other than looks. If you pop your trunk you'll notice that the holes are located outside of the trunk seal. So for those of you that just want to try wingless out for a bit, don't stress too much about covering the holes up.

I have as well, I like it a lot better this way...but I'm not going to permanently closee the holes because I like having options. I get a ton less attention from cops and d-bags this way as well....except for that ticket the other night....

ALOT less attention from cops and people unless the person knows evos or sees the AMS fmic. I love it both ways but wingless is a nice change. BTW my holes are filled and painted and i have another trunk with the wing.

Im thinking to take mine off lol and just leave it wingless. you're right about " grow up look thing"
luv the pic btw.
[QUOTE=XK120;5153563]Much less attention, and I think it looks much better/more mature. I was sick of everybody looking at me giving me that "grow up" look.

It's almost a ricer theory...would an Accord with a combat wing get more attention with or w/o one? I'm not saying your car is an Accord or is compared to one...just the theory. I even removed the OEM Evo VIII spoiler off my Lancer OZ for the same reason!
