Took mine within a week of owning the car and haven't had second thoughts yet!

 

I think people are upset because certain laws are not enforced fairly. IE, I can't tell you how many lifted diesel trucks, muscle cars, straight pipe harleys with loud modified exhausts I've seen that the cops won't take a second look at. Then, they'll pull over someone in an Evo because it has an exhaust.

 

I could care less if the cops pull me over every day i like the looks of the wing....if not it looks like a jacked up lancer....

 

as soon as cops see the wing they think "oh here's only street racer..."

It'll definitely bring the heat down.

 

Or they are upset that laws apply to them, which is what it sounds like when I hear "but $x did it too!". It really didn't work as kids and doesn't work much better now. Despite the fact you don't see those pulled over every other minute of the day, they do get ticketed as well.

 

true...but sometimes it depends on color,how loud your tbe can do,and how u drive...

 

I bought my car wingless so I can't say if I get any less attention without it but I can say I've only been pulled over once and it was because of a license plate issue. No ticket.

Maybe I should throw a wing on and see what happens.

 

Never been harassed because of the wing. I wanna get the voltex wing soon too

Sorry but I personally think the car thing isn't true, Some people told me your insurance is more expensive if you drive a red car.

 

What color car you drive will effect the Insurance numbers. Once again i will say i the wing dosent give more attention. Im 18 and only been pulled over once with no ticket. Cop though i had no license plate for some reason.

 

my ralliart wing only weighs about 5lbs. wish it was more for weigh loss...
Evo x wings were more like 20lbs+
I like it wingless. I dont drive 100+mph to warrant a wing on daily drive..

 

I'll take a stab in the dark and say you probably were just a conspicuous kid in a loud 4cyl with a wing. The whole "thought you had no plate" excuse reeks of simply covering up a fishing expedition that came up clean. Congrats.

 

To me the car without the wing looks bad, not that I will ever be driving 100+ that much but I just love the look of it and its one of the things i like about the car the most
