This was def. true on my car. I got alot of attention when my car had the stock wing on it. My car was bone stock and we constantly got pulled over. Now my car is fairly modded and very loud, but I have not gotten pulled over once (I have a duck bill style spoiler now). I speed fairly often so the only thing I can attribute the constant police attention was the spoiler. This was the same for my ex's subaru

 

I have a wing on my IX RS and I wouldn't have it any other way. I think the giant wing is part of the EVO tradition going back to the EVO 1. As long as you don't drive like a maniac and have a super loud exhaust system, BOV, etc. you should be fine. I personally got more attention in my GSX with a greddy evo 2 exhaust. After all we do drive 4 door sedans :P.

Right now I run wingless in the winter but when summer comes around its going back on. It makes cleaning the car off so much easier without the wing lol

 

I miss my wing.. But this is true. When i had my wing on all i got were endless honduhs trying to race me. Now that it's off I barely get messed with.

 

honestly am a newbie but i love the car wit the wing! as long as ur not driving crazy...and oh u the cops can get sued for harrassment. my boy here sued some town here in new jersey!!! my only worry in getting an evo is the insurance!

 

IMO wingless will look good ONLY on some cars, depend on how you make your car look, otherwise it will look weird if not ugly without the wing... lol again just my own opinion!
