water injection

The WRX STI's have water spray and i have seen some cars back in Okinawa with the loop spray in front of the intercooler. Is this safe for my car. I would think sending cold air into your intercooler would be the optimum. What does it take to install? Yes i have done alot of searches with no luck.

03 evo's had this function...it was deemed unnecessary and scrapped for following years

I am pretty sure they have since scrapped the water spray on STIs also but I'm not 100% sure on that

most cars with that loop in front of the intercooler are probably using nitrous to cool their intercooler. that approach actually helps since that stuff is very cold...

but water isnt going to help you. you wouldnt notice any performance gain from it

Yes i know it does not go into the air of the intercooler im not stupid!!but does the NOS really help as in a HP increase. Is it dangerouse? or risky?

I would imagine that would pose a fire hazard, definately not street legal. If you go this route consider CO2 in place of the NO2. Also the CO2 would be easier to refill.

Of course there will be gains. Any time you cool the intake charge you will gain power. Sometime noticeably sometime not depending on the method.

True water and Allchy injection atomized the fluid into the intake track cooling the charge and maximizing the knock resistance allowing you to advance timing or increase boost

The IC water spray for the EVO's was not deemed unnecessary. It was removed to make room for the ACD pump and reservoir.

If you spray CO2 onto your intercooler at the line, you will get CO2 into your intake. This will make you bog out of the hole.

When I first got my car (back when my brother had a shop) he made me an inline water to air intercooler that went in the upper IC pipe. We would run CO2 through that and dump the CO2 out the passenger side by the oil cooler. It made quite a difference on an untuned car.

If you spray Nitrous onto your IC at a stop, you will get nitrous into your intake.

i dont think so

and yes nitrous or CO2 will help with power increase because they are both very cold when they come out of the bottle. not sure which one is colder though. maybe try to find out and then use that gas
