good luck with them guys. I had the triple gauge pod one from lancershop and had to cut the upper and lower portions of my stock pillar as well. Problem was the clips couldn't hold the weight of ORIGINAL PILLAR + POD + GAUGES/wiring etc. It held for a couple of weeks and then it just fell out and I was fed up with it. Bought another stock pillar and got a single gauge cup for the steering column for my boost gauge and called it a day.

im not sure if i understand your question, but the lower gauge pod is angled steeper than the upper gauge pod just so they aren't blocking each other from view. also, the gauge pod doesnt match the color of the stock a-pillar 100%. it's SLIGHTLY lighter, but you cant really notice it unless you do a side by side comparison of the two.

Can you tell the color difference between the drivers side (the one with the gauges) and the passenger side (OEM Pillar) once installed? When you talk side by side do you mean right next to it or will you see a diff once installed. Just curious I am going to order a 2 gauge pod too.

I have the same gauge pod on the apillar from lancershop. I also had to mount it on top of the existing pillar. Once installed it looks great. There's no way you can tell the slight color variation between the lancershop pod and the passenger side a-pillar once mounted. It looks perfectly matched when sitting in the car.

I bought the Autometer 3 gauge pod. It was the overlay type and it was held onto the stock piece with the push pin type things. Fit was excellent and no issues with it falling off. Installed for over a year. Here are my pics.

you cant notice the color difference once the gauge pod is installed. you'll only notice the difference if you place the pillars right next to each other. i'll take a pic showing both pillars installed.
