Well update on everything.......Like I said earlier I had someone look at the car when all this first happened and they said it could be the internal wastegate or the turbo. The car has pretty much been sitting for sometime now and I decided to take the intake off and see if there was any shaft play. Well when I took it off there was no shaft play and everything looked pretty clean all together. So since there was no shaft play does that indicate a problem elsewhere? Before all this happen my A/F were around 11.2-11.3 which from my understanding is normal. When all this started happening my A/F would be around 12 or so in 1st and 2nd gear and in 3rd and 4th they would not read. I think the gauge ends at 17.2 or so and it would shoot all the way over as the rpms climbed and then it would flat line on the gauge, also when im at idle it will sometimes read off the gauge as well. I cant get a hold of the guy that installed it its like he dropped off the face of the earth. From my understanding he has a history of not priming turbos when he puts them on which in turn starves the turbo from oil (I was informed of this after he did the work). So could it be a wastegate or the hotside or what? Im really confused with this all and I need help in getting to the bottom of this all.

Yeah I just got in installed at the time and put few miles on it before it all went downhill. However, can anyone offer me any input into what may have went wrong?

If it was only a few miles... then the turbo must not have been primed.. when you install a new turbo .. if it is not primed.. then there is no oil flowing through it when you start the car.. usually turbos that are not primed will just blow when you first start the car up.. but my guess is that it was installer error and the turbo was not primed... sorry about your loss man. time for upgrade!

Well when I brought the turbo it has 8600 miles on it and I put 3000 on it before it all when down hill. The guy that put the turbo on is advoiding my phone calls and will not return them. He can somehow find time to chat with everyone else but me and I thing thats simply wrong. As I stated eariler he has a history of not priming turbos when he puts them on.

Since it is an EVO9 turbo and has already been run you don't always have to prime it. Priming is usually done with brand new turbos that have not been run before.
You said your AFRs were off then this started happening...sounds like a fuel issue. If you are 12:1 AFRs in boost >13psi, with pump gas you should let off the throttle immediately. The turbo was getting oil...if it was leaking from the return line then after a while the whole motor would be short oil...meaning you may be down just a quart etc.
