Floor mat hook
#19
Did a little research and came up with this thread.
So I'm at the dealership the other day getting my oil changed, and I asked about the carpet on the driver side. It's all loose and the hook the floor mat attaches to is pretty much useless. So they say to bring it in and they'll take care of it under warranty. Well, they called me today and said that they can't fix it quite right, and want to replace all the entire carpet in the car. Has anyone ever had this done? I guess I'm gonna go ahead and do it, just hoping it turns out good as new. Any reasons why it wouldn't?
Thx.

I doubt anything they do replacing the carpet could make it worse. It is most likely going to come pre-molded for the car and they just drop it snap some clips and replace the console and interior panels.

Same problem in my IX. I just pulled the plastic piece out of the carpet and have the mats laying in there. They don't move around very much so I don't really worry about it.
I may ask the dealer next time I'm in but it hasn't been bad yet with AutoX and DD.
